Tough Economic Times

Well these are tough times in the USA.  There is talk of trillion dollar stimulus packages and cutbacks might be the word of the year.  I guess that my generation has just gotten used to this unprecedented era of economic growth, and now that it has come to a screeching halt it seems pretty painful.  I think that it would be helpful for all of us to help each other out with ideas on how to save money wherever possible.  At work we have Recession Sessions which aim to keep us afloat in these tough times.  

The more I think about areas where I can cut back on spending the more manageable things seem.  Here are some topics that might be good to write about.

The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same!

Well, Christmas is over, all traces are packed away for another year . . . You know those big tins that you get popcorn in during the holidays? Well, I have one that is full of old Christmas cards and letters going back to the 1980's. So as I was adding 2008's greetings, I lovingly reviewed the cards, letters and photos, reminiscing on old friends and good times.


I noticed something interesting in all those holiday photos. With each passing year you all look more and more like each other! And your kids are growing up to look just like you! Here are some old and new pictures of us for your comparison.
