Trip to Mexico

So what do you guys think about this - a Heward Family Trip to Mexico. I was thinking something simple and fun. I know that Mark and Caroline will be going next month (in May), but I think that it would be fun to go as a family. If you want to take your kids now is the time, because in a couple of months newborns and infants will even need a passport to get back into the United States. If we wait too much longer Jen and Caroline will have new borns and won't be able to travel much. I think that it would be fun, and a simple quick weekend trip. What do you guys think about it? Here are some pictures to get you excited.

If a Child Falls . . .

If a child falls in the woods and there is no adult to see them fall will they make a sound? Well I think that we can find the answer in this short clip. Watch the little girl in pink with the phone.

A Terabyte (or Two) Server

What if we could all magically upload all of our photos to a place where everyone else in the family could get to them. Then we wouldn't have to make and break promises about giving people some of the great photos we have taken. If they really want those photos they can just go get them from that magical place. Well the truth is that this could be a reality - of course it will cost, but if we all think that it would be worth the cost then it could be a reality. What do you think?

Why don't you go FIX your own dinner??!!

We all remember the famous - "Do your DOWNstairs chore" incident where we thought that Mom wasn't going to say "downstairs". Well we were discussing how elevated emotion and emphasis on a certain word oft time causes us to think that she might be using another word. Well after discussing this Mom was telling us about the frustrations of raising four boys, and when they all start saying they are hungry you just want to tell them "Why don't you go and FIX your own dinner??!!" All of us who were listening braced ourselves and held our breath until the word fix was finished. Once we confirmed it was really just the word fix we all breathed a sigh of relief. All I have to say is Case and Point!

Tombstone Arizona

Well this last weekend Scott and I went with AzTEC to Tombstone and Bisbee. We got to see the sight of the world famous OK Corral gunfight and the County Courthouse where they did the legal hangings. We also went to the world's largest Rose Bush in Tombstone (If you don't believe me look it up!). In fact while we were there they had a parade and a celebration of the 123 year of the rose bush. Then we headed further south to Bisbee; an old mining town. We took a tour of the Queen Mine (opened in 1915). It was about 47 degrees in the mine shaft, but very interesting. Check out the pictures that I took.

Lost

Sometimes I'm at a loss for words - especially nouns! You know the feeling... I used to say, "It's right on the tip of my tongue," but now that I'm a little older it's moved even farther away. Nowadays I feel like I'm searching the back of my brain... or even the "dead air" right behind my head.

The other day I actually got lost... I checked google maps (the satellite view) and saw exactly the shortcut I wanted to take to walk over and visit with a sister in our ward and her new baby. Luckily, I put my cell phone in my pocket so I called someone to come find me!

But when I tried the website below, and they said there were 0 people with my name, my first thought was that I was unique. Then I thought, "wait... 0! They didn't even count ME!" "I'm LOST!" Or maybe they think I'm dead... Or maybe I've just kept myself off the "web radar." Hmm, maybe in this day of rampant identity theft that's not a bad thing!

If any of you wonder where I can be found, it's usually right here on my computer!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I thought I would add to the blog and tell about our Easter. Corey and I spent the night at Mom and Dad's and went to church with them. Ryan also met up with us all there. When we got home, Mom and I hid the easter eggs all over the down stairs. Evelyn didn't grasp the concept but Jacob had a blast putting the eggs in his bucket. However, I think Dad, Ryan, Scott and Corey had just as much if not more fun finding theirs. Later that evening, Mark and Caroline and their kids came over and we enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner to celebrate not only easter but also Ryan's birthday. Happy Birthday Ryan! Then to top the night off we were privileged to view Mom and Dad's spectacular dancing. It was a great day!
