So Christmas Pizzas have come and gone once again, but I am sure that we will all remember how much fun they were to make. This year I made the sauce from scratch, and some basil pesto from scratch. I don't know if they were really any better, but Christmas Pizzas has never really been about just eating pizza. This is one of my favorite Christmas traditions and I had a great time.
- Mark & Caroline & family made Santa Claus
- Corey & Jen & Family made the manger scene (the people are made from onion and fennel and so they are hard to see in the photo, but they are all there - wise men, angels, and all)
- Ryan's pizza is a depiction of a Starry Night over Pastoral fields on a thin crust (it requires some creativity to see it, Mark added some personality to the photo).
- Mom & Dad made a Christmas wreath (note the quality and craftsmanship of the red pepper "berries")
- Scott & Jen made a reindeer in a grassy field.
6 notes:
What a great tradition! I loved the evolution of the family AND the pizzas!
Were you able to eat the all of those pizzas? I'm not sure I would have dared to try one, maybe just yours. Is that reindeer poop, under Rudolph?
Yep, that's reindeer poop! (Olives) But they were delicious; I especially enjoyed the addition of fresh fennel - try it! What they didn't eat, they took home for left-overs. Scott says hot pizza is dinner, cold pizza if breakfast food, and room temperature pizza is lunch ('cuz it was in your lunch bag)!
Jacob looks frustrated in his picture lol. What a funny kid. The pizzas were awesome this year guys! I really like the reindeer. Well done!
I just have to say that I look forward to eating Christmas pizza every year!
Wonderful Christmas pizzas! I have alsways meant to try that but we have failed. It is so cute! I am very hungry now!
