Grandma Mazuren

Grandma passed away the end of January after 99 years of a loving, serving life. She was the kindest, sweetest little Grandma, always making crafty little gifts for everyone. She was always ready to help with baking or cleaning the kitchen. She loved to sing, yodel and could play the piano and ukelele. She loved being around her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. This picture of her from 1928 reminds me of my niece, Kymri.
Grandma as "Queen for a Day" on her 98th birthday.

Her beautiful hands, worn out in loving service.

Dale and I went up to Idaho for the funeral, and a week later I brought his mom down for a vacation. She hasn't been down for so long since it's been difficult for Grandma to travel the last few years. Mom's enjoying our beautiful Arizona winter and having fun visiting the other Hewards in the valley, too. It's great to have her here!

May she rest in peace, bless her heart. I wish you'd stopped and picked me up on your way back, I could use a break from winter!
